Several years ago I fell from the roof of my house, and fractured my pelvis in three places. Although the fractures healed, my pelvis never returned to a normal alignment. The result was awful. Over the next few years I developed a major scoliosis in my spine, and one of my hips stuck out at an angle. My clothes started to look strange on me (due to the curve in my spine), and I even began to struggle with balance. In addition to all of those problems, I was in constant pain.
I went to see a leading spine surgeon to ask what he would do, but he told me he didn’t believe that any surgery would be helpful. I was very discouraged. It was at this time that I went to a seminar about spine problems being presented by Dr. Rahman. I arranged an appointment with him afterwards, and I felt very confident that he would help me. I was right!
Although the surgery that Dr. Rahman recommended was a major undertaking, and required a long recovery, I am thrilled with the outcome. Today my pain has entirely gone away (I never realized how bad my pain was until it was gone!). My balance is good, and my posture looks normal (I’m an inch and a half taller since the surgery!). I can even wear clothes that I like again, and look good in them!
I am so glad that Dr. Rahman did my surgery. The results have been amazing, and I am very thankful.

“I had kyphoscoliosis my whole life. This means I had an “S” curve in my lower spine and a rounded upper spine (“hunchback”). I never knew this could be corrected as an adult.
I suffered from chronic, intermittent low back pain that was manageable with mostly exercise. When I developed pain radiating down my leg I went to physical therapy and it helped, but not completely. Then I developed pain in my abdomen which was rather severe. After seeing several physicians, (my doctor) recommended Dr. Rahman. Dr. Rahman agreed my spine was the likely cause of my pain. My history as well as my x-rays suggested surgery was needed.
After the surgery I was up and walking within a couple of days. All of my nerve pains—the ones down my legs and into my abdomen—were gone. Nevertheless, the recovery was painful, especially the first few months.
I am still recovering with mild to moderate pain from time to time. Otherwise, I can do almost anything I want to. I work the same job and hours I did before and do all my own housework. I do a bit of gardening and a lot of walking. I go to the gym several days a week and just finished Tango lessons with my husband. I’ve done some challenging hikes and have played badminton.
Another benefit from the surgery is how it makes me look. While I did not have this surgery for cosmetic purposes, I have been very pleased with all the compliments I’ve received on my straight spine. People ask me if I had it to do over again, would I. I never hesitate to say yes, I would do it again.”

From No Hope to Thanking the Good Lord
I don’t know where I’d be today if it were not for Dr. Rahman. I had severe scoliosis. I had visited many doctors and was not given any hope by other surgeons, who all said that there was nothing that could be done for me.
I then went to a seminar on the spine, and met Dr. Rahman. I knew I had met the right doctor.
He did my surgery, and every day I thank the good Lord for Dr. Rahman.
